Description of Working Group:

The European Retinoblastoma Imaging Collaboration was founded in 2009 and since then this international group of radiologists has met twice a year in Amsterdam with the aim of increasing the quality and diagnostic value of MRI in retinoblastoma through multicenter research.

Objectives of Working Group:

    1. To harmonize high-quality MR imaging through development of guidelines for retinoblastoma imaging.
    2. To improve disease staging by enhancing diagnostic accuracy for pretreatment detection of high-risk features.
    3. To identify the influence of genetic driver mutations and other chromosomal abnormalities on the retinoblastoma radiophenotype.

Guidelines

On behalf of the ERIC and EURbG we propose an updated MR protocol and a standardized reporting system based on the key points essential for managing patients with retinoblastoma by ophthalmologists and pediatric oncologists. Following the guidelines leads to state-of-the-art imaging in  retinoblastoma and can improve diagnostic yield and understanding of clinically significant imaging features of retinoblastoma.
